I've recently come to the realisation that I'm generally less happy and healthy than I want to be, and (maybe because of that) I'm less well-disposed than I might otherwise be, so I'm taking five minutes of coffee break now, to list some things I will do to improve my life.

Exercise my brain even more regularly than my body.

Avoid spending my time with bitter, unpleasant people - beyond what working with them demands. They are sucking the joy and positivity out of my life. This counts for IRC channels, too.

Use the "enough bullshit" method to divert myself from negativity or laziness the moment I notice them happening.

Be a better father.

Be a more considerate partner.

Realise that everyone makes mistakes, even me.

Write something with intent, and finish it.

Exercise my body - not for muscles or future fitness, but something I enjoy doing in itself and want as part of my life. That way I might stick at it.

Actually spend some zazen time.

Write more code outside work for personal and community projects - it's good for my personal development and it makes me feel good.

Ok, So let's see how this pans out.
